Christopher Peter Meloni has been known as a well-known American actor for many years. The actor is best popular for the roles he played in "Law and Ordinance Special Victims Unit". In his first years of college Meloni had a keen interest in acting. He then studied at The University of Colorado at Boulder. While he's appeared on film and television it is his characters on the smaller screen that brought him fame and a large admirers. It is no surprise that he has been able grab the attention of viewers by playing characters that are either side of the law. He portrayed the role of a serial murderer in his first television series project and then went on to play the role of an NYPD detective. Numerous times, he was nominated for the prestigious Emmy Awards, and the PRISM Awards. He is famous for his blue piercing eyes, which have become the trademark of his character and has helped him create a charismatic character for tough roles. People's magazine's Sexiest Men Alive 2006 featured his face.
